About Karela Sabji

Generally most people don't like karelas. But I am totally in love with them. I can have karelas for all 3 meals daily. Presenting my late mum's recipe here, that's one of my absolute favorite.

Instructions
 

  • Deskin the karelas and soak in salty water for 2 hours. Squeeze out the water.
  • Deep fry and cut into pieces. In a pan, add 1 tablespoon oil.
  • Heat on low flame. Add the onion and cook till soft. Add the tomatoes and cook till done. Add all dry masalas and karela pieces.
  • Put on a lid and let cook till it all comes together. Serve with hot rotis.
