as holi is around the corner and paneer contest is going platter share platform so i was thinking why not make a unique dish with paneer which should be something different and innovative. so i have made paneer nest gujiya with mawa/ khoya stuffing. it is a very delish snack . regular gujiya se ekdam hatke and delicious too .

Ingredients & Quantity
  • 150 grm paneer crumbled
  • sugar according to your taste
  • suji or rawa 3 tsp
  • mawa or khoya 100 grm crumbled
  • Some almonds (4_5)finely chopped
  • vermiecelli 1/ 4 cup
  • cornflour 2 tsp
  • oil for frying
  • clarified butter or ghee 2 tsp
  • dry coconut powder 3 tsp
How to cook?
  1. first mash the crumbled paneer with your palm until it becomes like a dough when you roll it .
  2. Paneer Nest Gujiya
  3. now add sugar and 2 tsp rawa to the paneer and mix it well.make a dough with it . Keep this dough into the fridge for about 10 minutes.
  4. now for stuffing take a pan add 2tsp clarified butter / ghee ,add chopped almonds and 1 tsp rawa . roast it well for about 2-3 minutes , now add crumbled khoya and coconut powder. stir it well . now add sugar according to your taste . mix it well .

  6. now take out paneer dough from fridge . apply some oil or ghee on your palm . take small portion of dough .make ball shape with this then press it well with fingers for disc shape .

  8. put stuffing at one side of the disc and close it well and give gujiya shape with hands .

  10. repeat this process with remaining dough. and put these non fried gujiya into the fridge for about 10 minutes .

  12. meanwhile take a cornflour and mix water into it and make a runny batter. in another plate take vermicelli. now take out gujiya from fridge. dip these gujiya into the cornflour batter and immidiately roll it into the vermicelli .deep fry it .

  14. paneer nest gujiya is ready. serve hot .

Notes

i have put dough and ghujia into the frdige before frying it will help to get nonsticky dough and ghujia and we will easliy dip it in cornflour mixture. 

2 - u can make nonfried gujia before 1 day and keep it in fridge . When your guest are arriving take out from fridge and fry .
