Teriyaki Salad Dressing recipe is a few ingredient salad dressing at Teriyaki restaurants in New York and is especially loved by New Yonkers as the creamy dressing goes well with all the salad recipes.
It is one of those salad dressings which has nothing to do with the Teriyaki style of Japanese cooking but as its found in Teriyaki restaurant, so the name. You don’t even have to go to culinary trade school to make it.

  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 5 tbsp Rice Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder


  • Combine all the ingredients and blend it in the blender/ grinder or food processor for 5 -7 minutes until it gives the creamy texture. Keep it in airtight container. If refrigerated it can last for a week.

    Dear Chef you mentioned that garlic is not used in Japanese teriyaki sauce but as per my information it is one of very important ingredients of teriyaki sauce.
