About this Recipe

This is the most famous dish of west Bengal, easy to cook and yummy in taste.

Ingredients & Quantity
  • 400 gm Fish fillet(washed)
  • 2 tbsp Gram flour
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper powde
  • 1/3 tsp Garam masala powder
  • Cooking oil for fry
  • Salt to taste
How to cook?
  1. Mix all the ingredients together with the fish except cooking oil.
  2. Mix it properly to create a coat of spices on the fish.
  3. Keep it in the  refrigerator for 20 minutes.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan, heat it more than normal frying temperature.
  5. Put the fish into the hot oil and fry it on medium flame for 2 minutes.
  6. Flip it to fry other side, fry till it turns golden brown from both sides.
  7. Take out on the kitchen towel for absorb extra oil.
  8. Sprinkle some chat masala powder and serve it with onion and lemon slices.
