Fish recipe is very easy and common in West Bengal. From very early stages they start eating fish. Tiny fish contain more phosphorus then large fish. It has less cholesterol. I prefer to eat small fish. But it is difficult to cut and dressing.

Ingredients
  

  • Fish 250 grams
  • Turmeric powder 2 tsp
  • Coriander powder 2 tsp
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Ginger paste 2 tsp
  • Tamarind paste 2 tsp
  • Red chilli paste 1 tsp
  • Green chilli slices
  • Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • Mustard paste 2 tsp
  • Mustard oil as required
  • Salt

  • After dressing wash thoroughly and marinate with turmeric powder, salt and lemon juice.

  • Take a frying pan add mustard oil then fry the marinated fish.

  • Now in the same if need add oil. Add mustard seeds, when spark add turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, ginger paste, chilli powder and salt. Sprinkle little water.
  • Stir continuously add a cup of water. Boil for a few minutes. Add fried fish, mustard paste and tamarind paste and sliced green chilli. Again boil. Serve with steam rice.
