Lehsun Dal Burger

Lehsun dal burger is a fusion recipe which is made out of leftover dal prepared previously. The dal I prefer is chana dal as it does not turn soggy and gives texture to the sandwich. The lehsun dal also contains bottle gourd which is a healthy addtition.

Instructions
- Slit the bun in half horizontally. Toast the bun lightly with butter first.
- Spread the dal on one half of the bun. The dal should be slightly thick and not watery as it will spread well and not turn the bun soggy.
- Spread the chipotle dressing on another half of the bun.
- Top it with grated cheese and put the chips on top of it.
- Close the two slices to make a burger. Toast well on the flat pan with butter till the bun slices are browned and crisp. Serve with tomato sauce or it tastes well even on its own.
Notes
You can use any leftover dal but chana dal is better than tuvar or moong dal.
It is better to toast in the pan than use a sandwich maker as the bun retains its flavour and softness with this method.
