Eggless Bread Cake

See how to make easy Bread Cake recipe. This cake can be made using leftover bread slices. Bread cake is a very rich, delicious and irresistible cake loaded with nuts. This is a simple eggless bread cake recipe which never goes wrong.
This easy cake can be served at tea time, pack in Lunch box or any Party/ treat as a nice dessert.

  • 4 piece Brown Bread Slices
  • 1/2 cup Refined flour
  • 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar +2 tbsp
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 3/4 cup Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla essence
  • 2 tbsp Desi ghee
  • 1 cup Cashew nuts chopped, walnuts, almonds, cranberries
  • 1 tsp Coconut powder optional
  • 1 tsp Tutti Frooti dried Pumpkins (optional)


  • Grind brown bread slices in a mixer grinder jar to form bread crumbs.

Bottom layer

  • Use 1 cup of bread crumbs and add 1 tbsp desi ghee along with 1 tbsp powdered sugar. Mix well and transfer the material in a lined baking dish. Press the mixture at bottom with help of spatula. Keep the dish in freezer for 10 min for s

Cake batter

  • Take 1 cup of bread crumbs in a bowl, add refined flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda. Mix well. Then add in vanilla essence, desi ghee and milk to prepare a batter. Use the required amount of milk. The batter should neither be too
  • Take all nuts in another bowl, add in 1 tsp refined flour, 1/2 tsp desi ghee, 1 tsp sugar. Mix well. Keep aside.

Layering the cake

  • Remove the dish from the freezer, top with second layer of mixed dried fruits. Third layer would be that of cake batter. Pour the batter on nuts layer. Fourth layer would be of nuts again. Tap the dish nicely to level it up.
  • Bake the cake in preheated air fryer at 160 degrees for 15 min. Cool it down and cut into slices and store in airtight container. Serve this soft and moist cake with tea.
