Kachalu is known as Taro which is starchy edible root loaded with lots of health benefits. Normally we cook the vegetable but we should know the health benefits. It is easily digested and has more properties to control blood sugar, hypertension, constipation, stomach disorder, repair bone, marcel, heart disease, cancer, weight loss etc. I would like to share with kachalu chaat a simple snacks.

Ingredients
- 300 gm taro
- 2 tbsp coconut grated
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon chilli powder
- ½ teaspoon mustard seeds rai seeds
- 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Green chillies chopped
- 1 tbsp Coriander leaves chopped
- Salt to taste

Instructions
- Wash thoroughly then boil. After boiling peel off the skin then grate.
- Heat a oil in a pan add Rai seeds, poppy seeds, grated coconut, grated kachalu, turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt.
- Saute the kachalu now add chopped green chillies and fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve in a plate and garnish with grated coconut and sprinkle little poppy seeds.
