Cottage Cheese and Rice-Moong Dal Chillas are protein packed crepes that are seasoned with green chillies,onions and tomatoes and the richness of Cottage Cheese(Paneer) making it a wholesome Indian breakfast.This healthy Indian breakfast is specially curated to give your day a kick-start and a supplement of nutrition,health and taste.

Ingredients & Quantity
  • Yellow Moong Dal(soaked in water for 3-4 hours) 150 Gms
  • Rice(Soaked in water for 3-4 hours) 150 Gms
  • Paneer 100 Gms
  • Chickpea Flour 50 Gms
  • Semolina 50 Gms
  • Finely Chopped Tomatoes ½ Cup
  • Finely Chopped Onions ½ Cup
  • Chopped Green Chillies 1 Tbsp
  • Cumin Seeds 1 tsp
  • Ginger Paste 1 tsp
  • Salt To Taste
  • Oil 5-6 Tbsp
  • Water As Reqd
How to cook?
  1. Combine soaked rice and moong dal along with water and blend till it forms a smooth paste.
  2. Transfer it to a bowl and add chickpea flour,semolina,grated paneer,tomatoes,onions,green chillies,ginger paste,cumin seeds,salt and mix well. Allow the batter to rest for 10 mins.
  3. Take ¼ tsp oil in a non-stick pan(griddle).Once it is warm,pour a laddle-full of batter and spread evenly to make round of 4”.
  4. Cook on medium flame till it becomes golden-brown from both sides.
  5. Serve hot with tomato-ketchup and mango pickle.
  • The preparation time does not include the time taken for soaking the lentils and rice.
