In hindi it named turai and in Bengali it named jhinge. It has dietary fibre and water content. It has low calorie and low cholesterol levels.

Ingredients
 

  • 200 gm prawn
  • 250 gm ridge gourd
  • 1 tbsp onion paste
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Ginger paste
  • ¼ cup rice paste
  • Oil as required
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Peel off the skin of ridge gourd then cut like a pocket.

  • Shallow fry a few prawn and a make a paste of few.

  • Take a pan add oil then prawn paste. Stir continuously then add other paste onion, ginger, green chilies and tomato.

  • Stir continuously add salt. Slowly it will become dry then fill in ridge gourd. Lock with rice paste.

  • Cover and cook in low flame. After 7 to 8 minutes it will cooked. Garnish with fried prawn.
