Shepherd’s Pie is a classic English baked one pot meal usually made with minced lamb, some vegetables and mashed potato crust. This is an absolute comfort food. I have made with chicken, carrots, mushroom and broccoli. My healthy version is with home made Worcestorshire sauce which is pretty easy to make. And this is low on fat as well with just a tablespoon of butter and cheese each, yet it’s finger licking good!
I used the entire Worcestorshire sauce in this recipe which was around 2 tablespoon. You can use it as per your requirement.
Grating the boiled potatoes makes it easy to mash.
You can use egg or milk for making potato mash. Use the milk as required.
Adjust the time and temperature as per your oven.
Keep a check on the amount of salt you are using.
