Trail mix is a mixture of dried fruits and nuts generally consumed as a snack by campers / walkers / people after a strenuous activity. According to the original source, trail mix was invented in 1968 by Hadley Food Orchards. It is very easy to carry and has full of energy boosting ingredients.
Basically the anatomy of the trail mix is very simple. It has four main categories of ingredients - nuts, seeds, dried fruits and additionally chocolates / popcorns / pretzels as attractive ingredients. This trail mix has nuts, seeds and dried fruits excluding the additional ingredients thus avoiding extra sugar and calories.

- ¼ cup almonds
- ¼ cup cashew nuts
- ¼ cup walnuts
- 1/8 cup pistachios
- ¼ cup melon seeds
- 1/8 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/8 cup pumpkin seeds
- 1/8 cup pumpkin seeds
- ¼ cup apricots dried
- ¼ cup blueberries dried
- 1/8 cup raisins
- A pinch of sea or pink salt
- ¼ tsp cinnamon powder

Instructions
- Measure and combine all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Your Healthy Energy Trail Mix is ready.
- Transfer to a Ziploc pouch for carrying during your travel or transfer it to an airtight jar.
Notes
- The nuts can be used raw or toasted if desired.
- Refrigerate trail mix for a longer shelf life.
- You can also be creative while making this trail mix by adding extras like pecans, peanuts, coconut flakes, banana chips, cocoa nibs, chocolate coated coffee beans, puffed rice, sesame seeds, bran, pretzels and chilli powder, ginger powder for a savory punch.
