Aloo Murgh/ Chicken With Potato

Aloo Murgh is a dish prepared with chicken and potato. It is a thick gravy dish. The gravy is thicken with potato.
The potato is cooked in big chunks along with chicken and spices easily available in your pantry. This dish goes well with everything - rice, roti, chapati, dosas etc.

Ingredients
  

  • 300 gm Chicken
  • 3 potatoes peeled and cut into big chunks
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 cup curd
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 Onion chopped
  • 1 Tomato chopped
  • 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 3 Dry red chili
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Meat masala
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • 1/4 cup Green peas
  • Water as required
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Chili powder

Instructions
 

  • Marinate the Chicken with curd and salt while you make the other ingredients ready.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add onion, dry red chillies ,ginger garlic paste and saute for 2 mins. Add tomatoes and cook till it turns mushy.
  • Add the Masala powders and cook for a min. Add the Chicken and potatoes, stir well and cook on high heat till the water released by chicken evaporate.
  • Stir occasionally and cook to prevent burning.
  • Add water as required and cook further till the chicken is completely cooked and the gravy thickens.
  • Add the greens peas and cook for couple of mins. Take off the heat when the gravy comes to a required consistency.
