Tomato And Hyderabad Chilli Salan

Salan is a very easy recipe. It is a traditional recipe which goes with rice, pulao, biryani, paratha etc. It is tangy and good flavour.

Ingredients
  

  • 5-6 to mato medium sized
  • 5-6 Hyderabad's green chilli
  • 2 teaspoon Roasted peanut
  • 1 teaspoon roasted sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon decicated coconut
  • 1 teaspoon couscous
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 2 spring curry leaves
  • 1/4 cup tamarind water
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • Salt

Instructions
 

  • Slit the chillies and remove the seeds. Slit the tomatoes. Saute the chillies and tomatoes with little oil. Keep separate.
  • Make paste with roasted peanuts, roasted sesame seeds, couscous and decicated coconut.
  • Now add oil on the frying pan add mustard seeds and curry leaves let crack then add the paste.
  • Stir constantly, add cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder and turmeric powder.
  • Stir until light brown add tamarind water. Close the lid for boiling then add sauteed chillies and tomatoes.
  • Again close the lid till thick consistent. Open the lid and pour on a serving dish. Serve along with rice or whatever you need.
