Ingredients
- 4-5 Ripe tomatoes
- 1 tbsp Mustard seeds
- 1 tsp Fenugreek methi seeds 1 teaspoon
- 2 tsp Red chili powder
- 1 Tamarind one lemon size ball
- 1-2 tsp Salt
- 10-12 Curry leaves
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 2 tsp Urad dal
- 2-4 tsp Chana dal
- 8-10 Garlic Crushed
- 2-4 Dry red Chili whole

- Ingredients required
- Wash tomatoes and pat dry. Chop theme finely
- Dry roast mustard seeds and Fenugreek seeds till they start crackling. Let it cool completely
- Prepare a fine powder of roasted mustard seeds and Fenugreek seeds
- Heat some oil and cook tomatoes till soft
- Add red chilli powder, salt to taste, tamarind and prepared powder. Mix well and cook
- In a separate pan, heat oil and add some mustard seeds, curry leaves , chana dal, urid dal, whole red chilies, crushed garlic cloves. Prepare a flavouful tempering
- Add this tempering or tadka in to cooking tomato pickle and mix well ..and switch off heat and allow it to cool
- Very tempting Nilava Tomato Pachadi or Andhra style tomato pickle is ready
- By adding some more oil, it can be preserved for whole year and can be relished any time
