Dum aloo is Bengali cuisine. Luchi which is made by refine flour goes well with this recipe. Most of the Bengali family like this in every Sunday or any holiday. This recipe also offer to God in any occasion.

Ingredients
  

  • 250 gm potatoes same sized
  • 1/2 cup curd
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chillI powder
  • 1 tbsp cashew nut paste
  • 1 tbsp couscous paste
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp kashmiri mirch
  • 1/2 tsp gram masala powder
  • 2 tbsp mustard oil
  • 2 tsp Ginger paste
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 green cardamom
  • 4 cloves
  • Salt

Instructions
 

  • Prick all potatoes with skin. Then boil with pinch of salt and little water.
  • Peel off the skin and fry the potato. Keep separate. In the same pan add bay leaves, cloves, green cardamom and cinnamon stick.
  • Now add ginger paste, cumin powder, curd, coriander powder, couscous paste, cashew nuts paste, red chili powder and salt. Stir fry sprinkle with little water.
  • Add fried potatoes, kashmiri mirch powder, and garam masala powder. Now it is ready to serve

Notes

This dum aloo can be served with chapati, paratha, naan, luchi.
