Sabudana Khichdi

  • 1 cup Sabudana
  • 1 medium sized potato boiled
  • 1 tbsp roasted peanuts roughly crushed
  • 5-6 curry leaves
  • Green Coriander Leaves to garnish
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon haldi
  • 1 teaspoon whole jeera


  • Wash and soak the sabudana for about 6 hours. The water level for soaking should be just a half inch above the sabudana.
  • In a non stick pan, heat up 1 tablespoon oil. Add in the jeera and curry leaves and let splutter. Add in the chopped boiled potato pieces. Let them roast for a couple of minutes. Add all seasonings and crushed peanuts.
  • Put in the sabudana.Mix well. Cover and let cook with a lid on for 5 minutes. Garnish and serve hot.
