Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
- 1 cup Barley Flour
- ½ cup Whole Wheat Flour whole
- ½ cup Fox Nut fox nuts/lotus seeds
- 2 Tbsp Jaggery powdered
- ⅛ tsp Cinnamon ground
Wet Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp Ghee
- 2 Tbsp Coconut Cream
Spices & Seeds
- 4-5 Cardamom Pods
- 2 Tbsp Pumpkin Seeds
Instructions
- In a dry skillet over medium heat, roast the barley flour and whole wheat flour separately until fragrant and lightly golden. This enhances their nutty flavor. Set aside to cool.
- In a mixer grinder, combine the makhana, cardamom pods, and pumpkin seeds. Grind to a coarse powder.
- In a large bowl, combine the roasted barley flour, whole wheat flour, and the ground makhana mixture.
- Add the powdered jaggery, coconut cream, ground cinnamon, and ghee to the dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly until everything is well combined and the mixture resembles a coarse dough.
- Take a small handful of the mixture and shape it into a round ball, pressing gently to compact it. Repeat with the remaining mixture.
- Store the laddoos in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. They are a perfect healthy snack or addition to a lunchbox.
