A vegetable apperizer which is delicious and has a crunchy crust and softness inside. Gobi lollipop goes best with yogurt dip and green chutney. It's a perfect party appetizer or can be made on weekends too.

Ingredients
  

  • 10-12 cauliflower florets
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup cornflour
  • 2 tbsp rice flour
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • Juice of half lemon
  • A pinch of baking soda
  • A pinch of red food colour
  • Salt
  • Water as required
  • Oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Cut small cauliflower florests. Add the florets to boiling water and cook untill half done.
  • Drain the half cooked cauliflower florets, pat dry and set aside.
  • In a bowl take flour, cornflour, rice flour, baking soda, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, red food colour and lemon juice. Mix everything well.
  • Add water and make a smooth lump free batter. The batter should not be too thick or too thin.
  • Heat oil in a pan, when the oil is hot enough take the cauliflower floret dip it completely in the batter and drop it into hot oil.
  • Repeat the same process with the rest of the cauliflower.
  • Fry them untill crispy and golden brown. Keep on paper napkins to remove the excess oil.
  • Wrap the stem of the cauliflower florests with foil paper and serve with yogurt dip.
