Probably, one or two years before only, I got to know that you can make smoothies and put them in a bowl, add your favorite toppings and convert them into a meal. Earlier, I used to just blend two fruits and just drink it, I call that as a smoothie. After I started blogging, one of the eye catching quick, healthy and yummy recipes I encountered are smoothie bowls from the fellow bloggers.
Being a South Indian, I have been habituated to take loads of carbs in the morning and our breakfast menu has been same for almost more than 20 years. Now, I am slowly changing the menu and starting to adapt for a balanced amount of carbs and protein in the meals. In that new menu list, smoothie bowls are on top and my husband is loving it. We make the smoothie, add our favorite toppings and kick start our day with full energy.
Avocado Smoothies are the best, it goes well with other fruits, nuts and tastes great. It’s a perfectly balanced breakfast.
- Avocado – 1
- Banana – 2
- Almonds – 10
- Flax seeds – 1 tbsp
- Milk – 3 tbsp
- Honey – 2 tbsp
- First, check the avocado, whether it is ripe or not. Cut and take the avocado flesh in the blender, add one banana, milk, 1 tbsp of honey and blend until it becomes thick and smooth.
- Pour the smoothie into bowl and add your toppings. In my case, I added banana, soaked almonds, flax seeds and a bit of honey on top.
- Now enjoy your perfect Avocado and Banana smoothie bowl.
