Chocolate Barfi in 5 minutes

Try this Indian sweet in a chocolate flavour

  • 250 gm Khoya Mawa
  • 1 tablespoon Desi Ghee Clarified Butter
  • 125 ml Milk or 1/2 cup
  • 125 gm Sugar or 1/2 cup
  • 1 pinch Yellow and Red food color
  • 1 handful Nuts Chopped, for garnishing
  • 1 handful Melon seeds for garnishing


  • Melt desi ghee in a kadai or heavy bottom pan.
  • Grate or mash khoya. Add it to melted desi ghee along with milk and sugar. Mix everything well.
  • Continue to cook the mixture for 5-10 min on lowest flame till it becomes little thick and starts to bind together.
  • Once the barfi material becomes little thick, remove from flame. Immediately transfer to a greased plate or tray. Spread it nicely.
  • Garnish with chopped nuts of choice. Let it set for few hours until stiff.
  • Cut the barfi in desired shape and store in an air tight box.
