Hirvi Mirchi Cha Thecha

Thecha is very traditional Maharashtrian recipe . I have learned this recipe from my maid . Hirvi mirchi cha thecha is made with green chill and garlic cloves. Pahadi people of Maharashtra eat this delicacy with bhakri ( roti ) .

- Cut green chillis into halves. Heat oil in a pan , add cumin seeds, sesame seeds , garlic and green chillis and sauté it for about 5- 7 minutes .
- Add coriander leaves and dry coconut powder and sauté it again for 4 - 5 minutes. Add salt according to taste.
- Put above mixture into mortar and by using pestle make a coarse paste. Hirvi mirchi cha thecha is ready .
- Serve with bhakri. I have serve it with jwar bhakri.
Notes
- You can add tomatoes also into thecha.
