Ghia or Bottle gourd pudding can be eaten in fast, it is also delicious as well as nutritious, I often cook this easy to prepare recipe during fasting days. Most people simply do not like the gourd but is considered beneficial to health.
Here I have prepared the bottle guard pudding which is a delicious addition to fast as well as the same can be served to guests.

Ingredients
- 1/2 kg Bottle guard/ Ghiya/ Lauki
- 2 tablespoon Sugar/ Chini or as per taste
- 1 litter Boiled Milk
- 2 tablespoon Chopped almonds
- 1 tablespoon Chopped cashew nut
- 1 tablespoon Pitachio chopped
- 1 tsp Green cardamomHari ilaichi powder
- 1 tablespoon grated Mava/ MIlk solid
- 2 tablespoon Desi ghee/ Clarified butter

Instructions
- Wash and grate the bottle guard. Cook the milk in a heavy bottom pan with cardamom powder and chopped dry fruits. Heat the ghee in another pan and fry bottle guard till golden.
- Then add one cup water, cover and cook the bottle guard till it done. Now mix the bottle guard with milk, cook it for 10 minutes on medium hot heat, turn off the flame. Cool and serve.
