Ingredients
- 2 spoons Ground Nut Oil or grinding for grinding
- small cup Onion cleaned
- 3 no Garlic s
- 3 no Red Chillies s
- 3 gm Bengal Gram – 3 Tsp bengal
- 2 tsp Coriander Seeds

Instructions
- Steps to grind masala: First switch on the stove and place a frying pan, when it is heated add oil; next add small onion fry for 3 minutes in a medium flame.
- Now add garlic, red chilli and tamarind fry for 2 minutes.
- Next add Bengal gram, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, fry till it become golden brown in colour.
- After that add turmeric powder, grated coconut fry for a minute, then add chopped tomato and finally add curry leaves then fry for a minute.
- Allow it to cool down, then transfer in to mixer grinder and add little amount of water and grind well. (Not a fine paste)
Recipe Notes
- Sorrakkai Kulambu is a side dish for idly, dosa and white rice.
- Bottle guard is very healthy water vegetable.
