Dates Burfi is a classic recipe that is tasty, healthy and ideal for the festive season.

Ingredients
  

  • 200 grams dates
  • 50 grams almonds
  • 50 grams cashews
  • 50 grams pistachois
  • 1 tablespoon ghee
  • 2 tablespoon poppy seed khuskhus

Instructions
 

  • Cut dates in small pieces.
  • Cut the dry fruits into small pieces. Keep each one of them separately.
  • Dry roast each dry fruit pieces separately until crisp.
  • Dry roast the poppy seed until crunchy.
  • Grind the dates to a pulp.
  • Heat a pan, add ghee and roast the pulp for sometime. Then, add the roasted dry fruits and mix well. Remove from fire and keep it aside.
  • Grease you hand and roll into cylindrical shape.
  • Roll it in roasted poppy seeds and refrigerate for two hours. Cut and serve.

Notes

  • The dates used are seedless variety.
  • You can use other dry fruits also.
