French Fries

Why do we call French fry? The origin of the French fry have been traced back to Belgium, where historians claim potatoes were being fried. French fries were invented by street vendors in Paris in1789. In France from 1775 to a piece of fried potatoes. Potatoes should be selected in big sizes, then it will easy to cut in strips. To make it crispy and restaurant style it should be double fry. Can be served with any dip. Or it can be sprinkled with salt black pepper and flax seeds crushed.

Ingredients
  

  • 500 gm potatoes
  • Oil for deep fry
  • Salt
  • Black pepper crushed
  • Roasted flax seeds crushed

Instructions
 

  • Roast the flax seeds, crush and keep aside.

  • Cut the potatoes in a long strips and dip in water for 15- 20 minutes. Wash 2- 3 times to remove the starch. Then soaked the water or keep in fridge.
  • Heat the with high temperature now fry the potato strips. It should be half done and take out the fried potatoes.
  • Give rest for 5 minutes. Again fry in a high temperature and see how cryspy will be done.
  • Take out in a kitchen towel. Sprinkle with pink salt, crushed flaxseed and crushed black pepper. Serve along with tea/coffee.
