Instructions
- Peel the potatoes with a potato peeler. After the potatoes are peeled, cut them in half lengthwise. If they are very large, you can cut them in half again to create sticks that are half as long.
- Put them in a bowl of ice water and let them soak for about 20 minutes. This helps remove starch and make them more crispy. You don't have to soak them, you can just give them a good rinse if you don't have time.
- Rinse well and then thoroughly pat them dry with paper towel. Make sure you get as much water off as you can.
- Now heat oil in deep wok, deep fry potatoes in heated oil. When potatoes done transfer it on absorbing paper.
- Add salt n gently shake n toss the bowl so that the salt mix well with french fries.
- Potato french fries r ready to serve. Serve this hot with tomato ketchup.
Recipe Notes
Soaking the potatoes in cold water help them to get crisp nicely and they get evenly fried.
Rinsing the potatoes in water or cold water helps to remove starch which can cause the potatoes to stick together during the frying process.
