Instructions
- Wash and peel potatoes. Slice them and cut them in long strips, like for French fries. Immerse them in tap water for 25-30 minutes.
- After 30 minutes remove them from water and wipe the moisture off with a clean kitchen towel.
- Preheat your oven at this point, 210C. Meanwhile layer potatoes slices on a microwave safe tray and let them soften for 3-4 minutes. It took me 2 batches to do so.
- Again wipe off the moisture from the potatoe pieces as much as possible with a clean towel.
- Put these in a large bowl, add oil and toss them so all the pieces are coated in oil. Can add a tsp of more oil if required. I didn't require so I didn't add more. 2 tsp was enough for me. Can use any oil, sunflower, coconut , olive oil etc...
- Now layer them on a hot baking tray. Arrange in single layer for amazing crunch.
- Bake in otg for about 25 min or till they are golden brown.
- Remove from oven and while the wedges are still hot sprinkle some seasoning and salt and mix them well. I sprinkled chaat masala and some salt.
- Serve hot with any sauce, ketchup, dip or chutney of your choice and enjoy guilt free.
Notes
- Softening the potatoes in microwave is essential, this step should not be skipped.
- If you do not want to use microwave, then you can blanch them for few minutes and remove them onto a kitchen towel and dry them.
