Instructions

  • Slice the potatoes in long, thin pieces. One potato will roughly give 16 slices Soak them in ice cold water for 30 minutes Preheat the oven at 220 degrees for 10 minutes. Both the rods should be on.
  • Drain and wipe the slices totally dry. In a deep bowl, take the slices and coat them with oil. Sprinkle salt. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • Keep the tray in the middle slot and bake for 10-12 minutes. This will soften and cook the potatoes.
  • Increase the temperature to 250 degrees for about 8-10 minutes. This will turn the potatoes crisp, golden brown in colour.
  • Remove when done and sprinkle black pepper and rock salt. Can use seasoning as per taste.
  • Serve hot with ketchup. ( Eyeball the time required as it differs with each oven. ) My Tip: Serve hot or they turn soggy after sometime.

Notes

Do try these baked ones as the difference in taste and texture is not too much.
Believe me, your kids will never know it . …!! ☺
