  • Roasted dal. 1 cup
  • Red chilli. 5-6 piece
  • Sesame seeds and asafoetida as required
  • Jaggery one small lump
  • Coconut half cup
  • Chat masala two tsp
  • Cocoa powder two tsp
  • Roasted coriander powder two tsp
  • Salt and oil as required


  • Add two tsp oil in a heated pan add red chilli and Dal to roasted golden brown. Add sesame seeds asafoetida

  • Off the flame and blend fine powder. Add coconut chat masala cocoa powder roasted coriander powder.
  • Add in a blender it should be perfect blend. Now spicy gun powder is ready
  • Keep in a air tight container. When you use add ghee or oil and make a paste
  • Serve with Dosa and idly
