  • 2 cup Flour
  • 3 tbsp Milk +1/2 cup
  • 2 tbsp Desi Ghee 3/4 cup
  • Nuts chopped, for garnishing
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 3/4 cup Water
  • Few strands Saffron
  • 1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder


  • Mix milk, gram flour and ghee to obtain bread crumb like texture. Mix it in a blender to get a powdry mixture.
  • In a kadhai add ghee and then the ground mixture.
  • Cook for 20 - 30 minutes on a low flame till oil separates.
  • Keep adding milk little by little and mix. Add upto 1/2 cup milk to the mixture.
  • 1 cup sugar, 3/4th cup water, add cardmom powder, cook till the sugar dissolves.
  • Add the sugar syrup to gram flour mixture in kadhai
  • Once the sugar dissolves, transfer the mixture into a greased and lined tray. ALlow it to set for 4 - 5 hours or over night and then cut it into pieces.
