Instructions

  • Take the flour in a bowl. Add salt and dahi or curd .Mix well and bring it together.
  • If needed add water little by little and make a soft dough. If it has sufficient moisture of curd then don't add water. Just knead and make a soft dough.
  • Rest the dough for 30 min.
  • Now make small balls and roll oval shaped rotis of about 4-5 inch diameter using some dry flour. The roties should be rolled slightly thick like nan not like our regular ph ulkas.
  • Heat a griddle. Put one roti at a time. Cook slightly from one side and little more on other side. Now put it directly on flame and cook from all sides like you do it for phulka
  • Apply ghee or butter . Non vegetarians can have it with kababs or any chicken or mutton curry. Vegetarians can have it with shahi paneer or dal makhni

Recipe Notes

  • It’s better to use a day or two days old curd.
  • Tories should be rolled slightly thicker only then it will taste good.
  • Usually people eat paratha with kababs but this roti tastes really good with it.
