Yield / Serves
Whole wheat flour 2 cups
Curd / dahi 1/2 cup
Salt 1/2 tsp
Ghee as much or as less you want
Take the flour in a bowl. Add salt and dahi or curd .Mix well and bring it together.
If needed add water little by little and make a soft dough. If it has sufficient moisture of curd then don't add water. Just knead and make a soft dough.
Rest the dough for 30 min.
Now make small balls and roll oval shaped rotis of about 4-5 inch diameter using some dry flour. The roties should be rolled slightly thick like nan not like our regular ph ulkas.
Heat a griddle. Put one roti at a time. Cook slightly from one side and little more on other side. Now put it directly on flame and cook from all sides like you do it for phulka
Apply ghee or butter . Non vegetarians can have it with kababs or any chicken or mutton curry. Vegetarians can have it with shahi paneer or dal makhni
- It’s better to use a day or two days old curd.
- Tories should be rolled slightly thicker only then it will taste good.
- Usually people eat paratha with kababs but this roti tastes really good with it.
