Lucknow style chicken. Some of my guest like this recipe. When they come I have to cook for them. I like to share with you.

Ingredients
  

  • 750 gms chicken
  • 1 cup onion paste
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 teaspoon Ginger paste
  • ,2 tsp garlic paste
  • 4 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1 cup curd
  • 2-3 piece black cardamom
  • 3-4 pieces Green cardamom
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg powder
  • 2-3 pieces bay leaves
  • 4-5 pieces cloves
  • 2 cinnamon stick
  • 100 gms mustered oil
  • 2 teaspoon ghee
  • 2-4. Bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 2 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • Salt
  • 2 teaspoon rose water

Instructions
 

  • Wash chicken with luke warm water and marinate with onion paste, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and curd.
  • Keep the marinated chicken for an hour. Winter season keep in room temperature and summer keep in freeze.
  • Now take a pan heat add oil. Add chopped onion stir till brown. Keep separate fried onion.
  • Now add bay leaves, cloves, black cardamom, green cardamom and cinnamon stick. Stir for a few seconds.
  • Add sugar, marinated chicken and stir. Now cover with lid for five minutes with low flame.
  • Open the lid stir continuously slowly will become dry. Add cinnamon powder, nutmeg powder, salt and fried onion.
  • Stir continuously add rose water.
  • Now ready to serve with rumali roti.

Notes

During the cooking period no need to add water. Don’t use pressure cooker.
