  • 2 cup basmati rice
  • Chana dal 1/2 cup
  • Salt
  • Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
  • 2 large sliced onion
  • Chopped green chili 1 tsp
  • Cumin 1 tsp
  • Deshi ghee 1 tbsp
  • Mint leaves for garnishing


  • Wash the dal and soak for 10 minutes.wash and soak the rice also.
  • Fry the onion in ghee and keep aside .
  • Now heat the remaining oil in cooker pop the cumin,add green chili ,add dal and 2 cup water .cook for 5 minute
  • Add rice , chili powder add more water if required and cook till it done on sim
  • Garnish with fried onion and mint leaves .
