Amla [Indian Gooseberry ] Delight

recipe with a difference and very much versatile as well . amla delight can be relished as a dessert , mouth fresher , meal accompaniment or even can be spread on toast also , very quick to prepare and can be stored for long without any preservatives

  • amla [indian gooseberry] - 1 cup [grated]
  • extra virgin olive oil - 3 tbs
  • melon seeds - 5 tbs


  • wash and pat dry amla
  • grate the amla
  • heat a non stick pan add grated amla and sugar , cook till sugar dissolves and juice of amla start evaporating
  • turn off heat when mixture start leaving the edges of pan
  • add extra virgin olive oil to enhance flavour and nutritive value of dish + it gives a good shine to recipe
  • sprinkle melon seeds and let it cool down and store in glass jars , can be served as meal accompaniment , toast spread or even a dessert or mouth freshner as well
