Instructions

  • Squeeze the oranges to get approximately 2 cups of juice. Strain the juice and keep aside.
  • Take orange juice and sugar in a pan and mix well until the sugar dissolves.
  • Add lemon juice into it and give a good mix.
  • Take ice cubes and one orange slice in each glass and pour the citrus juice (orange+ lemon + sugar) equally in both glasses.
  • Finally add chilled soda into it each glass and garnish with cherries.

Recipe Notes

Additional Tips

  • For a visually striking presentation, rim the glass with a mixture of sugar and finely grated orange zest before pouring in the mocktail.
  • If you prefer a less sweet drink, replace the soda with sparkling water or tonic for a more sophisticated, subtly bitter edge.
  • Infuse extra flavor by adding a sprig of fresh mint or a thin slice of ginger to the drink before serving—a quick muddle releases bright herbal or spicy notes.
  • To make ahead for parties, mix the orange juice, lemon juice, and sugar in advance and chill; add soda and ice just before serving to maintain maximum fizz and freshness.
