Raw Mango Oats Khandvi – Gujarati Delicacy

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup mango puree raw mango
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • teaspoon rai
  • 1 tbsp coconut grated
  • 1 pinch hing
  • 2 green chilies finely chopped
  • 5-6 curry leaves
  • 1 cup besan
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup butter milk
  • 1/2 water
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • pinch turmeric

For tadka

  • 1 pinch turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 7-8 curry leaves
  • 7-8 green chillis cut length wise
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp coconut grated
  • Salt

Instructions
 

  • Grind and dry roast oats and keep aside.In bowl, add dry roasted oats, besan, salt, haldi, mango puree, buttermilk and make a batter.
  • Make sure there are no lumps in it.In pan, pour this batter and keep on stiring it evenly to avoid lump formation.
  • Continuously stir it for about 8-10 minutes.Grease back side of a flat plate.Then pour a portion of this mixture on back side of plate.
  • Spread it evenly as thin as possible. Leave it for a while and cut into thin strips.
  • Roll strips and cut in into 1 inch piece and place it in a plate.

For tadka

  • In a pan, add oil. Add rai, leaves, hing, green chilies, curry leaves and turn off flame. Pour this tadka on Mango Oats khandvi and garnish with grated coconut and serve.
