This is a North Indian dish which is served with roti, in this recipe I have used cashew nuts an almonds which gives a rich flavors to the dish an the garam masalas aroma. This dish can be made in daily basis or on occasions.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 slab cottage cheese paneer (250 gm)
  • 1 tablespoon cornflour
  • Salt as per taste
  • 2 cup Oil for frying
  • 10 -15 cashews
  • 10 -15 almonds
  • 3 green chili
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon kasturi methi
  • 1 elachi
  • 1 dalchini
  • 3 cloves
  • 1 pineapple flower
  • 1/2 cup coriander leaves chopped
  • pinch turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup milk cream

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl add paneer crumble it nicely, add a pinch of salt, pinch of garam masala, coriander leaves, cornflour and mix well.
  • Make small balls and deep fry them and keep aside.
  • In a mixer grind cashew nuts, almonds, green chillies, elachi, cloves, dalchini, pineapple flower, ginger garlic paste, milk and grind into a fine paste.
  • In another pan, add butter, fry kasturi methi, add pinch of turmeric powder and mix well, add the grinded paste in step 2 and mix well.
  • Add salt to taste. Add milk cream on low flame and mix well. Add the koftas to the gravy and serve.

Notes

  • In this recipe if you want you can make the gravy by frying onions and tomatoes and then grinding it. You will get an orange paste. 
  • Orange gravy can be used in making butter paneer masala as well.
  • It is a natural orange color.
  • For koftas if you want you can use potatoes stuffing or you can use vegetables like carrots, beans, potatoes, paneer and bread.
