Coriander Chicken Curry

As usual I was confused about the name of the chicken curry. Since I used more coriander leaves than usual, I decided to name it as Coriander Chicken Curry. Coriander Chicken recipe referred prominently as Dhania Chicken is a delicious curry from Bengali cuisine.

Ingredients
  

  • 500 gm chicken
  • 2 onion
  • 1 large size tomato
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 4 green chilies
  • 1 handful chopped coriander leaves
  • Salt
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 &1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/3 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/3 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chicken masala powder
  • 1/2 cup oil

Instructions
 

  • Take onion, tomato, green chilies, ginger and garlic paste in a mixer grinder jar. Grind it into fine paste.
  • Heat oil in pressure cooker, add prepared paste and saute for min. Cook for 5minutes on low medium flame.
  • Add spices salt, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, chicken masala powder. Mix it well n cook on low flame till oil start floating on all over masala.
  • Add chicken n mix it well. Cover the lid and cook it on low flame for 5 to 7minutes.
  • Add coriander leaves and give a mix with chicken curry. Add 1 cup water, cover the lid and cook it on 3 to 4 whistles. Switch off the flame. Wait till steam release from pressure cooker.
  • Serve this awesome coriander chicken curry with rumali roti, tandoori roti and zeera rice.
