Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg Chicken cut into medium sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp Curry powder homemade
  • ½ cup Onion chopped
  • ½ cup Tomatoes chopped
  • 1 tbsp Garlic chopped
  • ½ tbsp Ginger chopped
  • 1 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
  • Red chili powder to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tsp Turmeric Powder

  • Wash and clean the chicken pieces, put it in a large mixing bowl add apple cider vinegar, salt, red chili powder and black pepper powder, Mix well with hands and set aside for at least 30 minutes. The longer you allow the chicken to marinate, the be
  • To make curry powder dry roast the spices on low flame- 2 tablespoons coriander seeds, 1 tablespoon cumin seeds, 1 tablespoons fennel seeds, 1-inch piece of cinnamon stick, ½ teaspoon fenugreek seeds, ½ teaspoon black mustard seeds, 2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • In a large pan, heat oil. Add chopped onions, garlic and ginger. Fry until onions turn golden brown.
  • Add chopped tomatoes and roasted curry powder, cook till all the spices and ingredients mix well.
  • Add chicken pieces and remaining marinade. Cover and cook on medium heat for 20 minutes. You can also add water as required to adjust the consistency of the curry.
  • Once chicken cooked, switch off the flame and served delicious chicken curry with a bowl of steamed rice.
