Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 180°C
  • Gently insert a skewer lengthwise from one end of potato to all the way out from another end.
  • Working in a spiral motion hold a sharp thin knife in a slight angle on the potato.
  • Now cut the potato while rotating it in a direction away from you. If you hold a watch infront of you sideways, then clockwise is the direction you should rotate the skewer and counterclockwise you should cut it.
  • Take your time and cut into even thin slices all the way starting from one end to other.
  • Fan out the potatoes gently until you have some gap between slices.
  • Add the minced garlic into melted butter and mix well.
  • Brush this butter garlic mixture onto slices evenly.
  • In a small bowl mix salt, ground black pepper, and red chilli powder.
  • Sprinkle this salt mixture onto potato properly until they are completely coated.
  • Now sprinkle the grated cheese between the slices.
  • Set the skewers on sides of a baking pan such that the potatoes are in suspended position.
  • Bake for 25-30 min or until nicely brown.
  • Garnish with freshly chopped coriander and enjoy!
