  • Firstly put some water in a cooker, add ¼ tsp salt and ½ tsp sugar to it. With that add peas and fenugreek leaves to it.
  • Cover the cooker and cook them till until they turn soft.
  • In mean time boil cashew nuts in water so that we can make a smooth paste of cashew.
  • Now grind onion, garlic, green chilli, ginger and boiled cashews in a mixer jar. Make a smooth paste for the tadka of Methi Matar Malai.
  • After this put pure ghee to a pan and put tadka paste to it.
  • Which we prepared in precious step. Cook it well on low flame for 4 - 5 minutes. Keep stirring don't let it turn brown, as we want to give our dish light contrast of white and green.
  • After that add mawa to tadka and cook it for 2 more minutes. With that add salt and Kasuri Methi to tadka.
  • Now add Malai to it and milk, mix them all well to make a blend.
  • After a boiled add cooked Methi and matar. Mix them well and cook them till a boil.
  • Now our delicious Methi matar Malai is ready to be served with laccha parantha, naan or roti.
