Snake Gourd Curry

People rare cook this vegetable but it has lots of benefit. It has such a power to improve the strength of immune system, digestive system, increase hydration in the body, reduce fever, prevent from hair loss and aid in weight loss.

Ingredients
  

  • 250 gm snake gourd chichinda
  • 2 tbsp chopped onion
  • 2 tbsp chopped tomato
  • 1 tsp chopped green chillies
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp Ginger paste
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 whole red chilli
  • 2 tbsp coconut milk
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp mustard sauce
  • Salt
  • Fresh coriander leaves

Instructions
 

  • Wash and peal off the membrane of the chichinda. Then cut into pieces.
  • Heat a pan put oil, cumin seeds, whole red chilli. Then add chopped onion, stir until light brown.
  • Add chopped green chillies, chopped tomato, turmeric powder, cumin powder, ginger paste salt and chopped chichinda. Stir continuously.
  • Close with the lid for 10 minutes or cook until soft. Then add coconut milk and ready to serve with mustard sauce or kasundi. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
