Ingredients
 

  • 1 cup Chana Dal
  • 1 tbsp Sooji
  • 1 Onion medium chopped finely
  • 2 Green Chillies chopped finely
  • 1-2 tsp Salt or as per taste
  • 1 cup Oil for deep frying
  • 1 Fennel Seeds tblsp
  • 6 cloves Garlic

Instructions
 

  • Soak the chana dal and keep aside for atleast 1 hour.
  • Coarsely grind the ginger, garlic and fennel seeds without adding water. Keep aside.
  • Now take the channa dal and blend it coarsely. Please remember not to make it into a fine paste.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan. Take small portion of the mixture and make small ball and then flatten it. Continue the same process with the remaining mixture.
  • Drop the Vadas in batches and fry them in medium heat till golden brown.
  • Drain and Serve as it is or with any chutney of your choice.
