An easy to make, healthy, easily digest-able  and yummy breakfast that can be made in no time. Anything could be added to the basic recipe to make it more nutritious. I usually add sprouts , mix them well and serve.._x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_

Ingredients
  

  • Poha 3 cups
  • Thin Buttermilk 300 ml
  • Oil 3 tea spoons
  • Green chillies chopped 2  and a red chilli
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 tea spoon & Hing powder 1/2 tea spoon
  • Mustard seeds Urad dal, Chana dal for seasoning
  • Curry leavesÂÂ

  • I used thin Poha. So no need for soaking for a long time. Just add the buttermilk to poha and mix gently with a spoon. See to it that there is enough buttermilk to coat the poha. If not add some more. But the poha need not be immersed fully in Butter Milk.

  • Heat a broad pan with oil. Add the seasoning items. Once the dals become brown add chillies, turmeric powder, hing powder and curry leaves. Add the Poha to the pan. Sprinkle required salt.

  • Keep the flame low and stir for some time till the poha becomes non sticky and gets roasted. Switch off the stove.
  • Add any sprouts in hand or grated carrot to the stuff to get a nutty effect and serve. It does not need any side dish. Even a teaspoon of sugar goes very well with this.
