Beguni is the delicious pakodas from Kolkata, made with brinjal. Slices of egg plant or brinjal dipped in a Besan batter, deep fried.

Ingredients
- 1 Brinjal
- 1/2 cup Besan
- 2 tsp Poppy seeds
- 1 tsp Nigella seeds
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- Salt
- 1 pinch Cooking soda
- Refined oil

Instructions
- Slice the brinjal into thin slices. Keep aside.
- Make a batter using rest of the ingredients except the oil.
- Heat oil in a kadhai. Dip the brinjal slices in the batter and deep fry the brinjal.
- Serve with some chaat masala powder sprinkled on top.
