About this Recipe

Banana stem recipe is full of iron. Cutting and chopping is a great art. Most of the Bengali people like this recipe.

Ingredients & Quantity
  • 500 gms chopped banana stem
  • 50 gms moong badi
  • 1/2 cup onion paste
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 2 tsp ginger paste
  • 2 tsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp mustered seeds
  • 2 whole red chilli
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp mustered oil
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
How to cook?
  1. Take a frying pan heat and add oil whole red chilli and mustered seeds. Seeds will crack add onion paste, ginger garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and tomato puree
  2. Banana Stem Curry (bengali)
  3. Stir fry then add chopped banana stem salt and little bit water. Mix well and close the lid. Cook for 10 minutes. Serve with steam rice.
