There are many types of pulao state wise region wise. I made the pulao in Bengali style which is very simple with less ingredients. This type of pulao we can offer as a bhog purpose. During Devi puja or any other festival we cook this recipe.

Ingredients
  

  • 200 gm rice
  • 1 handful raisin
  • 2-3 bay leaves
  • 2 tablespoon homemade ghee
  • Few saffron threads
  • Few whole black pepper
  • Salt

Instructions
 

  • Wash and soak the rice for half an hour. Soak few saffron threads in water.
  • Boil the rice it should be half done, not full boil. Then strain the rice water.
  • Now take a pan add homemade ghee, bay leaves, whole garam masala, whole black pepper. Then add half done boiled rice. Stir for a few minutes.
  • Now add half glass warm water, raisin, soaked saffron and salt. Close the lid and cook until soft. Serve along with other recipe. I served with shallow fried vegetables and chutney.
