Grilled Besan Paratha

Parathas are dear to everyone whether young or old. It's a quick prep and execution dish too. So not much time is required to make this delicious paratha stuffed with besan and some spice powders and grilled with ghee smeared on it which make it more tasty. Do try these utter delicious grilled besan parathas for your breakfast, brunch or an evening snack.

Ingredients
  

  • For the dough :
  • Ghee 2 tsps
  • Wheat flour 2 cups
  • Water required to make a smooth and stiff dough
  • For the stuffing :
  • Besan /gram flour 4 tbsps
  • Red chilli powder 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Ajwain 2 tbsp
  • Cumin 1 tsp
  • Chopped Coriander 1 cup
  • Oil

Instructions
 

  • Make a smooth yet stiff dough with the wheat flour and salt adding water slowly while continuously
  • Add flour and salt to a deep bowl. Make a smooth and stiff dough adding water slowly. Apply and knead with a little oil. Cover and let rest for 15 minutes.
  • Heat a grill pan. Smear some ghee with a brush.
  • Pinch lemon sized balls from the dough. Roll into a small chapathi. Now add little besan, red chilli powder, turmeric, ajwain, cumin, sprinkle a pinch of salt,drizzle little oil, add some chopped coriander. Mix with the tip of your fingers.
  • Spread the stuffing all over. Leaving the edges clean. Place another rolled chapathi of the same size over it. Press the edges.
  • Dust some flour over it. Now roll a little more. Grill over the hot pan. Let it grill well on one side
  • Flip and grill on the other side too. Smear ghee generously all over.
  • Cut into 4 halves. Serve hot.
