Paneer Butter Masala

Now you don't have to go to fancy restaurants and pay a huge amount for vegetarians favorite dish" paneer butter masala". This dish came out so well that my hubby said , that he will stop going out for having paneer now!!So here is the restaurant style recipe for all the paneer lovers.

Ingredients
  

  • Cottage cheese paneer - 200 grams (cut it in thick cubes)
  • Red tomatoes - 4 medium sized diced
  • Onions - 2 medium sized dicedand 1 thin sliced
  • Green chilies - 2 to 3
  • Garlic - 7 to 8 cloves
  • Fresh coriander for garnishing
  • Salt
  • Red chili powder - as per taste
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • Mango powder - 1 tbsp
  • Coriander powder - 2 tsp
  • Yellow butter - 1 spoon
  • Fresh cream or malai - 1 tbsp
  • Milk - half cup

Instructions
 

  • Take a wok add oil around 1 tsp.Let it heat. Add cumin seeds.Wait for crackling sound. Now add onions along with garlic . Now stir it till they turn little pink in color.

  • Now add Tomatoes and mix them. Add salt ,turmeric powder,sugar and chili powder. Now when add milk in it. When you will find the tomatoes are turning soft .Switch off the flame.

  • Let the masala cools down completely.After that take a jar and grind the masala.(make a proper paste)Now in the same wok add half tsp oil again and take 1 onion (medium sized)and cut it in very thin slices and put this into the oil with green chilies
  • Stir it for 4 to 5 minutes and now add the gravy paste. Now in the gravy add mango powder , coriander powder and some more salt if needed.
  • Now add butter and cream in the gravy. Mix well and add little water (not too much)I have take half cup only.
  • Now when the gravy starts turning thick add paneer cubes in it. Lastly garnish it with fresh coriander.
